Un évènement conjoint de Skywin, Maintenance Boulevard Maastricht et du FLAG sur le thème de la maintenance aéronautique

The aerospace sector in North West Europe (UK, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Germany) consists mainly of small and medium size enterprises. Many of these companies offer high quality and innovative services to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and higher tier suppliers worldwide. However, all SME’s are faced with the consequences of consolidation and integration in the supply chain. The next decade brings new challenges and opportunities. But these come not automatically. There is a need to develop new business models, based on networks and effectuated by cooperation. Only then the aerospace SME’s in North West Europe can provide competitive products for the new era.

Maastricht Maintenance Boulevard (Limburg), FLAG (Flanders) and Skywin (Walloon) have taken the initiative to bring aerospace companies from the North West European regions together in order to discover potential business leads, areas for cooperation and innovation.

This territorial cooperation initiative EUregion Life Cycle Costing (EULC2) promotes horizontal and vertical cooperation and innovation in the supply and value chain, especially in de areas of new materials and fluids. Examples from the past have shown multiple success stories of rather working together with a company “around to the corner” than one that is a seven hour flight away. Therefore, this seminar wants to capitalize on the knowhow that is available within Belgium, Germany, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

The three organizations would like to invite you for an innovation meeting and workshop on Wednesday March 14th 2012 at Maastricht Aachen Airport. The objective of the meeting is to identify new opportunities for cooperation and combined product development through matchmaking and networking moments during the event. But that is not all. We have been working in the past six months to identify financial resources to support the aerospace SME’s. This means this meeting is not only about identifying opportunities, but also about providing information on concrete tools (such as vouchers and joint research budgets) to implement the opportunities. Finally, we have identified three speakers to provide you with their viewpoints on the future challenges for aerospace SME’s in the supply chain. Participation in this meeting is free for all members of Maastricht Maintenance Boulevard, FLAG and Skywin.

You can register for this meeting with Harmen Burghouts (Burghouts@stratagemgroup.nl).
